Customers have been asking us how you pronounce the word decal.
The word decal is a strange one and many people have not heard it before. It has traditionally been used in sign writing to refer to the self adhesive vinyl used to create the lettering.
With the growth of vinyl design in decorating, some companies call their products decals and others call them wall stickers.
So how do you pronounce decal?
In Australia we tend to say dee-kal with a long "e" sound at the beginning. However in the US and UK mostly the word is pronounced deh-kal with a short "eh" sound. Both pronounciations use the "K" sound for the "c".
