Commercial Day Spa refurbishment- customised wall lettering

This is the third piece of work we have done for this growing chain of day spas.  Our first day spa refurbishment had Cool Art Design do the design, manufacture and installation of vinyl wall graphics for 10 treatment room, waiting areas and all directional signage.

With the opening of the new retail shop and spa, it was a natural choice to extend the same design style through the new treatment rooms.

The vinyl we use for this particular type of wall lettering is extremely thin and it means the vinyl conforms to the surface it is on, giving the appearance of a hand painted wall mural.

Angels often shed new light on old dilemmas was designed using a scripted font and some stylised wings to give some feeling and warmth to this tarot room.

Below you can see the example of the vinyl conforming to the surface of the wall, making the wall lettering in this commerical day spa appear hand painted.

Brand your customer entry and reception areas

A super simple and effective way to help your customers along their learning or purchasing path , is to brand entry ways, corridors and reception waiting areas with subtle graphics and wall quotes that tell and/or sell your story.

Our latest installment was for National Product Fulfillment in Wetherhill Park in Sydney.  National Products Fulfilment is one of Australia’s most prominent outsourcing companies shipping more than 2 million products a year throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.  To kickstart their customers into joining their way of thinking we installed a wall art quote made from vinyl lettering, and a giant barcode also made from vinyl.

One of the elements of designing with vinyl that we enjoy the most is the fact the vinyl is so versatile.  We can design anything to suit any style.

While we often design very bright, funky designs, in this case for this particular financial services firm, they chose to use a more stylish style with big bold quotations lining the wall.  They self installed these expertly and we admire the final layout.  Big thumbs up!

Vinyl wall lettering is cut from solid colours and the vinyl used is very thin so the lettering contours to the wall surface creating a hand painted look.  And we are not just saying that!  Many of our customers comment to us about how their customers and staff always ask, "did you have these hand painted?"

Create an impact with full wall graphics

For maximum impact you can't go past a full wall graphic.  At Maxis Solutions, a training company located in Chatswood, we had already installed one full wall graphic in their office earlier in the year.  To brighten up a self paced learning lab, they found an additional image that could fill the room with colour and inspiration.  A fantastic way to continually add impact to office decorating.

See below for their latest addition.

In the same room in the office, to bring some subtle meaning to the room, they chose a great quotation to fit neatly on the corresponding wall.  It looks great in the pale blue- picking out colours from the full wall.

In an adjacent learning room, we installed the following quotation...

And to complete the new quotes, we added three new quotes to the quotation wall which is located near the tea and coffee area.  This gives the trainees something to read while they have their coffee and tea and is a great talking point.

Choosing quotations that are meaningful to your company is very important- and then we just make it reality.

School Library Decorating

Completed a school library educational decorating project.

Client provided all wording and all quotes.  Cool Art Design provided some options on layouts and design.  After finalisation of design, we produced all vinyl lettering and words and provided with self installation kits and instructions.

School maintenance/ builders installed the artworks to our specifications.  Perfectly!

Great team work on the project and now this school can enjoy an interesting and fun library space.

WhiteBoard Dry Erase Vinyl Designs

A simple yet effective way to bring noticeboards into your office is to use dry erase vinyl.  Make some good edges with a design, for example, a frame like design, or your could go with straight borders or word borders.

Dry Erase vinyl is cost effective and removable, but the longer it stays on the less removable it becomes and may result in a wall repaint.  The other option is to mount onto a board and make your orwn dry erase boards. By mounting to a board you can make round, triangle, star shaped boards for example.

The above boards allow for a personal board for each desk.

 

Simple Signage Office Graphics

Generally we steer away from just doing straight signage.  There are plenty of providers out there and our niche is in providing designer artworks and graphics.

However for many of our customers we do provide straight signage for them.  These are usually customers that we have done interiors for, or some other graphics, and they have asked us to help them out with signage.

For full service, ie- graphic interiors plus signage we can manage the entire project for you.

If you are in Sydney we can arrange installation, if you are outside of Sydney we will discuss with you the best way to install the office graphics, either using a contractor of ours, or self installing if we advise this is possible.

Pimp your golf cart! Perfect for corporate events and weddings.

Adding some affordable style to event decorating without breaking the budget is sometimes hard to do.

By using vinyl graphics, you have the advantage of the decoration looking permanent, classy and high quality.  At the same time, the vinyl graphics are easy to self install and remove.

We see corporate golf days as a no brainer after seeing this wedding decoration below.  Think creatively and imagine branding the golf cart with your event or company name, logo or tag line.

Businesses can self install simple wall graphics

For customers in metro areas, ordering wall graphics and having them installed by us is easy.  For those further afield where perhaps artistic sign writing is not as available- one option is to self install.

Large full graphics and highly intricate designs do require a professional.  However, wall lettering and simple designs can easily be installed by businesses.

The example above shows a self installed design.  Our customer in Canberra has added this wall lettering and logo to the interior decorating of her advanced skin clinic in Canberra.

Design and colours were finalised over the Internet and with a set of colour swatches sent to confirm final colour.  The gold vinyl chosen is high quality interior decorating vinyl that once applied looks hand painted.

The design was self installed and this is the final product.

Ultra happy with the result,we are currently working with Your Skin to add another three sets of wall lettering to the treatment rooms.

Full Wall Graphics from Cool Art Vinyl

For many of our customers we are now installing full colour graphics to their walls.  We only provide this product if we install or one of our contract installers is used.  We don't believe this is a self installation product- the product is expensive (relative to other wall stickers) and to ensure you get a great finish the installation is supremely important.

Latest commercial installation: Jewish Museum of Australia

Great to see the final installation of this exhibition at the Jewish Museum of Australia in Melbourne.

Talented designer Anne-Sophie Poirier contacted Cool Art Design to work on the production of the full wall graphics for this exhibition.  Fully designed by Anne-Sophie, Cool Art Vinyl simply produced the graphics for the exhibition, and contract installers put the designs in place. 

The full wall map is printed on a clear media so that the coloured wall behind was still able to show through.  Intricate detail on the map edges means the map could not be cut.  The 7m wide wall quote was created from cut vinyl graphics and was self installed by the team in Melbourne.

Similar to wallpaper, the challenge of installing the 6m wide map is to correctly align the drops which are approx 1.2m wide.  For this size installation we recommend using professional installers.

Boardroom wall lettering design

Don't miss the opportunity to brand your boardroom or main meeting rooms.  Customers, suppliers and staff all frequent these rooms and while you have their attention, splash some company branding around the place.

Below is an example of a single wall as a feature in a boardroom.  Design fits with other corporate branding of this particular company.

For a more enveloping effect you can try wrapping every wall in the board room.  For this Sydney investment firm, a design incorporating different quotes by famous people in different sizes and fonts was creating to "wrap"their boardroom in a panel.  The photos do not do this justice as the room was amazing to walk into.

For a more corporate look, branding your boardroom wall with a company or organisation mission statement is a classic and very powerful design. 9We went Black and White with the photography on this one- lettering was royal blue to match corporate colours).

Retail shop wall graphics (lettering)

We were so lucky during the week to visit a  gorgeously addictive new vintage and recylced shop in Windsor, NSW.

This is another great example where the retail shop, or more correctly the owner, Alicia Goldstein has greated a decorating environment that sings the tune of her brand and her product.

As a little added touch to the design, Alicia asked us at Cool Art Vinyl to add a wall quote to the main wall.  The quote which reads, "Too much of a good thing is wonderful"-Mae West - looks fantastic in the white colour that Alicia chose.

We can help with little touches of retail shop decorating, or we can do full scale war on boring white.  Whatever works for you guys.

Divine wall art decorating for commercial day spa.

Nature's Energy is a natural therapies shop and day spa with locations in Balmain and Glebe in Sydney.

Cool Art Design was asked to help in the redesign of the Balmain Day Spa which is newly opened on Darling Street in Balmain.

It was a divine project to create feature designs for the 10 plus therapy rooms, decorating the doors, and for the main spa area.  The decor is soft, gentle and serene with warm cocoa coloured walls and pristine white accents such as towels, bedding and lights.

Cool Art Vinyl designed and installed the artworks.  The photos just do not do it justice, so if you are in Sydney, definitely drop by the spa and see some of our work and take a massage or beauty treatment while you are there- you won't regret it!

No matter what kind of environment you are wanting to create in your public commercial space or office, adding vinyl wall art is an amazingly stylish way of decorating the space.

We use ultra thin vinyls that look hand painted and we can honestly say that every customer says to us, "wow, it looked even better than we thought it would".

In the case of Natures Energy Day Spa, the designs were all based on sayings and quotations that we believed woudl bring tranquility and calm into the decorating.  By adding small features such as stars and ivy vine designs, the designs really melted into the rooms.

Sydney Paris Skyline Wall Decal Stickers: Custom build

Thanks to the team at the French Australian Chamber of Commerce, we had a great opportunity to expand on our skyline collection.

After seeing our Sydney skyline wall stickers, general manager Anne-Sophie Vincent contacted us to install this design in their refurbished office in the Sydney CBD.  During the installation of Sydney,  ideas were drawn up for an extended Paris skyline which connects across the wall.

We went away and designed the Paris skyline.  Adjust were made to the design based on feedback from Anne- Sophie including perspective of the Eiffel Tower and the fact that Paris does have hills.  Therefore to present a perfectly flat skyline is a little boring.  So we finalised the design and then installed it to create a sensational piece of design across their office wall. It looks simply amazing and will be a feature of the office.

The design reaches 5.6m across the wall and is built using our ultra thin matt vinyl that looks completely hand painted.

The French Australian Chamber of Commerce (http://www.facci.com.au) is an organisation that offers networking, events, learning and development for its 400+ members.

Thanks to them we will be adding a Paris skyline wall decal sticker kit to our catalogue.

 

Exhibition trade stand wall graphics with flair!

Have you booked a booth or stand in an exhibition? Consider using wall stickers to add some branding and point of difference to your trade stand design.

Go simple, or go grand? 

A feature of the below exhibition trade stand is the design created by Cool Art Design for CineMedia.  The entire stand was designed in layouts by Cool Art and then produced and installed on the day.

Below is an example of a simple addition to a trade stand.

The beautiful stand design was from the creative minds at The Style Salon.  All we did was simply help them fulfill their ideas by putting in place the vinyl wall graphics.

In an example like this, we simply work with the stand designer to get the designs right, we then put them into production, and come out to the exhibition during set up and install the designs.  Simple, easy and the WOW factor though, is amazing.

Self Installing Graphics at the Trade Stand?

We often work with customers who wish to install their graphics themselves.  It is possible, however be aware that if you are installing during set up time which is the most common thing, then any problems, or if you make a mistake during application, your stand could end up missing out on an integral design element.

If you are going to self install we highly recommend that you plan to install the graphic on pre-built stands or signs which was completed prior to set up.

In addition you must discuss with us the type of surface you are applying the design to, this could affect the durability duing the trade show.

A recent project where we helped Products of Excellence make pre prepared trade stand walls was completed well before exhibition time.  They provided the walls and we installed the designs long before the exhibition.  All the team had to do on the day was put the walls in.

Glass window frosting for offices

Looking for a way to spice up your glass office walls?  You don't have to stick to plain frosting.  Think about what funky design you could use to add a bit of branding while creating some privacy with frosting.

Or we have just seen some wicked pale pink and pale blue frosting from our supplier and it absolutely rocks.  Another great frosting is a sparkle glitter frosting.

For this office we settled on panels of frosting with a glasses design cut out of the top panel.  Got some ideas for your business, give us call or drop us an email.

Vinyl wall graphics for branding offices

Using vinyl lettering for offices is a highly effective yet affordable way to spruce up the office for staff and clients.

Even if you have a home office where no-one else visits it is the mental attitude of being in your office with your business name, branding or vision statement on the wall that will motivate you all day.

As a small business with customers entering it is vital to carry your brand through the space and affordable decorating for the walls can help achieve the appearance of being a much larger business.

Then you have corporate companies with different departments who need to appeal to a wide variety of staff as well as clients.

Quick Vinyl Window Graphics for Halo To You

Halo To You a new giftware shop in Chatswood, Sydney needed a quick shop window design.  The awning and banner signage were already completed, but they felt that having window signage would complement the whole look.

Cool Art Vinyl put together the Halo To You and Coffee To You window signage and installed the designs on a Saturday when the shop was not as busy as during the week.

  

Single colour signs like this are not expensive and are a great way to brand your shop.  Customers can still see through the window.

Consider adding window signage to your shop in January when the retail trade is a little quieter and you will have less disruption to customers.

Music Stage Vinyl Sign Production

Thought we'd show you a bit of the behind the scenes action/ process of getting a wall sticker sign out into the world.

This example shows a very simple sign we made for Dave Halls album launch.  Dave is a Sydney composer and jazz/blues painist.  He was having his launch at The Basement in Sydney of his new album, Burning Time.

To add a bit of colour at the back of stage and to help promote the band in media and press photographers, we made the simplest sign possible. You don't want a sign such as this to overpower the stage presence.  Adding just a touch of wall sticker magic can be enough.
