Emotive wall words for Oasis Youth Support Centre new StreetMedia room.

In our continued work with the Oasis Youth Support Centre, we had the pleasure of helping decorate a new initiative called the StreetMedia room. 

A vital training and development program, Streetmedia provides young people with a positive outlet for self-expression and an opportunity to understand and make sense of their story, through a variety of creative mediums.

By adding some large emotive wall words and logos around the room, the room feels warmer and is a great space for young people to be creatvie within.

Wall lettering is ultra thin and looks hand painted on the walls.

Wall logos cut in the ultra thin vinyl.

Carbon Pollution Reduction: Timely certificate

Today we received in the mail our certificate for our efforts towards reducing carbon pollution.  Timely considering the current weeks debate on the carbon tax in Australia.

Wall stickers being off set by environmental business goals

No matter what anyone says, wall stickers are simply not environmentally friendly.  They are made of 100% non recyclable plastic!

To help us feel a little better about using vinyl, we have set some environmental goals for 2011 that we thought we would share with you.

Today we were awarded 3 badges in a program called the Better Business Partnership.  In conjunction with the NSW government, Sydney Water and NSW Environment Trust, the program is designed to improve the sustainability of businesses by helping them set out plans to reduce waste, become energy efficient and to save water.

Our 3 badges are for Water Saver, Energy Saver and Waste Saver.

In addition to changes at our warehouse and production studio, we continue to develop packaging to be minimal, recyclable and bio degradable when applicable.

We will keep you posted on our energy reduction efforts, and we hope you understand that our packaging may not be flashy, but it is strong and recyclable which are the two most important things.

Wall sticker art for Salvation Army Oasis Youth Support Network

We have just completed putting the finishing touches on some seriously cool wall sticker art at the Oasis Youth Support Network.

The team there had the idea to decorate the waiting area, and got one of the guys there to draw up a vision for "Intake Man" which they scanned in and emailed to us.

So we put the guys here to work, and  combined with some vision words, the huge Intake Man was made into a wall sticker art graphic and installed in the waiting area.  It looks great and is a perfect example of working together- you understand your organisation, we understand the wall sticker art, and together you can definitely do cool things.

Cool Art Design wall art donations to charities

Doing some spring cleaning on the weekend and we found a thank you letter from Bear Cottage in Sydney.  Last year (about this time) we donated a whole bunch of kids artworks to the centre to help brighten rooms for those staying there.

Bear Cottage is a children's hospice that helps families cope with the impossible - to care for a child who has a life-limiting illness.

Cool Art Design used to donate canvas artworks to Sydney Childrens Hospital, and we're more than happy to donate to Bear Cottage.

If you are a charity, and more suitably a children's charity that might benefit from a donation of children's artworks to decorate your space, then dont hesitate to contact us.
